Why I Do This
After working as a commercial photographer, capturing fashion, products, and campaigns, creating images that, while beautiful, all felt fleeting. The work was admired for a moment, then it was gone, forgotten, lost to the next cycle. And this is when photography began to loose it’s magic for me as the constant churn didn’t resonate with me.
I’ve always been an artist first.
Photography, painting, drawing, writing and filmmaking: it’s all storytelling, all an extension of how I see the world. I was actually on the verge of selling my cameras when I stumbled upon an acquaintance on Instagram needing a photographer for their wedding in Barcelona. It was a last-minute chance, a whisper of possibility.
Saying ‘Yes’ to that weekend changed my life. The couple, their families, the golden light spilling across the landscape in Spain, it all moved in a way that felt effortless, as if it was always meant to be. There was pressure, of course. Weddings carry a huge responsibility. They are fleeting, sacred, alive. But I stepped into each moment fully present and it all flowed.
When the couple received their images, they told me they couldn’t wait to print them “as the works of art they are.” I realised these images weren’t just pictures; they were heirlooms. A part of their story captured in time, ready to be held, remembered, and passed down.
This is why I love what I do. Because love deserves to be captured beautifully. Because moments this big should never feel small.
Photographs are evidence of the life we lived, the love we shared, and the people who stood beside us.
When I'm not behind the lens capturing weddings, you’ll usually find me, paintbrush in hand, living my days by the sea.
I believe in finding beauty in the everyday: the quiet moments like a long breakfast with loved ones at home, scouting out good bakeries, and planning an adventure to somewhere new.
I’m a keen meditator, book lover and music gig-goer. I’ve always had a creative, nomadic spirit, and nothing fills my cup up more than a change of scene or chat with a fellow creative.
